אַהֲרוֹן pr.n. (perhaps i.q. הָרוֹן mountainous, comp. Arab. هارون), Aaron, the elder brother of Moses, Exodus 6:20, 7:7 consecrated high priest by his brother, Exo 29:1-46 Lev 8:1-36 בְּנֵי אַהֲרוֹן “sons of Aaron,” Joshua 21:4, 10 Joshua 21:10, 13 Joshua 21:13 and poet. בֵּית אַהֲרוֹן “the house of Aaron,” Psal. 115:10, 12 Psalms 115:12, 118:3 used for the priests, just as Aaron, Psalms 133:2, is used for any high priest.
